Historic opening-match victory
The win marks a historic milestone for Ajman, as it is their first-ever opening-match victory against Al Wahda in the league, having dropped their previous two encounters.
Ajman build early lead
Ajman set the tone early when Lorenzi opened the scoring in the 5th minute. Victor Henrique then extended the lead to 2-0 in the 51st minute.
Al Wahda fight back
While Al Wahda fought back through Mohammed Gharbani in the 77th minute, Henrique struck again in the 83rd minute to restore Ajman’s two-goal cushion.
